- Brand, collection, product code and full surface name.
- Material, thickness, format and finish.
- Dimensions and room reference for every component.
- Edges, exposed ends, upstands and built-up details.
- Exact models of sinks, taps, hobs and appliances.
Never leave the pattern to chance
Directional and large-scale patterns require a layout drawing showing the face, vein direction, transitions and acceptable joint zones.
Bookmatching or a continuous vein changes material yield and must be approved against photographs of the actual slabs.
Sign-off before ordering
The fabricator checks measurements, supports, cutting and installation tolerances. The client approves a physical sample. The designer signs off key veins and visible joints.
Give the final specification a version number and date. Any later change to cabinets, appliances or dimensions triggers a new review.
