01

Create a reference product

Keep an approved physical reference alongside the drawing. It should define edge profile, joint quality, finish, pattern direction and acceptable visual variation.

Photograph the reference under controlled light and link it to the current specification revision.

02

What to standardise

  • Part geometry and tolerances.
  • Visible edges, joints and underside treatment.
  • Support and fixing method.
  • Inspection lighting and acceptance criteria.
  • Packaging and handling.
03

Batches and variation

Plan material for a production run where colour continuity matters. Record batches and retain labelled offcuts for future comparison.

Communicate natural pattern variation to sales teams and customers before the order is confirmed.

Important: always check processing parameters, permitted loads and care requirements against current Primax documentation and the fabricator's instructions.
