Three levels of review
- A small sample for colour and tactile finish.
- A large image or slab photograph for pattern scale.
- The actual slab for final nesting and critical vein placement.
Light changes perception
Warm light can soften cool greys; high-CRI neutral light reveals subtle colour shifts and inclusions.
Review the sample horizontally and vertically because reflections and shadow behave differently.
Build a material board
- Place the surface beside the actual cabinet, timber, metal and paint samples.
- Check it in daylight and in the specified evening lighting.
- Photograph every approved combination and record the surface code.
